The Coaching in Science Initiative
IDG Hub

In 2015, the world adopted 17 global objectives for economic, social and environmentally sustainable development, as well as to work for their achievement by 2030 through the United Nations. The 17 goals cover a wide range of issues that involve people with different needs, values, and convictions. There is a vision of what needs to happen, but progress along this vision has so far been disappointing.

To enable change outside of us, we need to start from within ourselves. Raising awareness about science backed methods for personal development, the skills needed to enact change, can be made available to everyone. Our own SciLifeLab grassroots Coaching in Science Initiative (CSI) is one such example.

The 'Inner Development Goals' (IDGs) initiative, has identified a set of 23 skills we need to cultivate within ourselves to produce the change we want to see in our world. To refine the IDG framework and reach across the globe, a new global survey launched on September 19, with the aim to involve 2+ million people, from 100+ countries and 70+ languages. This survey will result in a comprehensive and more inclusive identification of human inner skills needed to enact global change from within.

We are currently looking for researchers with a Ph.D. degree from different countries that want to participate in the global survey analysis. The work will take place in many different teams, one team per country, and work will be done in the particular country’s language.

If you are interested, please fill in the form below, stating your namecountry, and language you would like to participate with.
