Well-being and mental health skills

&
of monumental importance to
scientific excellence
Raising awarness of mental health skills
We are a grassroots movement reaching across the scientific community; The Coaching in Science Initiative (CSI). We believe that well-being and mental health skills are human rights. We perceive that to reach new levels of scientific excellence, development of mental health skills within our community is of monumental importance. Regardless of where and how you work within the scientific community, you are welcome.
CSI Seminar Series
The format for our seminars are ~20 minutes talks online, followed by offline local reflections and discussions. We plan to record all seminars so that they can be re-used as teaching/support material. We encourage people from other sites to watch together and have their own local discussion to raise awareness. We would be happy to get in contact with people from other sites who would like to arrange such watch parties and hold discussions afterwards. This is an excellent way to contribute, we are all here for each other. If you are interested in organizing CSI seminars at your location, hold a local watch party or in some other ways contribute, do reach out to us!
CSI Coaching Model
CSI uses a coaching model to raise awareness and create an inner judgment-free space. We promote diversity, equality, and inclusion of all our thoughts and emotions. Here we also collect and explain how to learn essential skills for practicing self-coaching.
CSI Community Stories
Hearing from voices within our scientific community, their narratives, memoirs, or testimonials from individuals who have experienced mental health struggles or want to share reflections on well-being. These stories provide a sense of connection, validation, and inspiration for anyone going through similar challenges. Reading about others' experiences and how they have moved forward may instill hope and motivation.
CSI Watch Parties
Join your local community in engaging with CSI seminars through online watch parties. After watching the seminar together, stay for a local reflection and discussion session to raise awareness and deepen understanding of the topic. We encourage you to reach out and share your thoughts, reflections, and discussions with us. We value your input and would be delighted to hear about your experiences and insights.
“We are here for you, just as you are here for us. We are here for each other”
